GOLF COURSE PROCEDURES
1. All golfers must register at the Golf Shop or Starter Gazebo before playing.
2. Women's Golf Association (WGA) has use of the courses on Thursday mornings. Please contact the Golf Shop for availability.
3. Starting times for weekend play may be reserved beginning on the Friday eight days prior to the weekend. Weekday starting times may be reserved two weeks in advance. Starting times may be reserved during the current Golf Shop hours. Requests for starting must be made over the phone or in person. Voice mail requests will not be accepted. Only members with golf privileges may reserve starting times. Eligible members may reserve no more than two (2) starting times on any given day. As a courtesy to other golfers, please be prompt for your starting time. If you change your plans, please notify the Golf Shop so that others may use your time. Members repeatedly failing to show up for starting times will be subject to disciplinary actions deemed appropriate by Club management. The Golf Staff reserves the right to pair groups with less than four players. 4. Foursomes shall at all times have the right-of-way for starting times and course position. However, foursomes shall be expected to maintain an acceptable pace of play of 4 hours and 15 minutes or less per 18 holes of golf.
5. Each player must have his or her own golf bag.
6. A member must accompany or sponsor his or her guest(s). Members are responsible for their guest's conduct, dress code, and appropriate fees.
7. Members or guests are not permitted to bring any food or beverage onto the premises.
GUEST POLICY
Sand Creek's guest policy is designed to provide Members the most enjoyable Club experience possible. Guests of Members are welcome, and will always be afforded the service and courtesy shown to Members. Guest privileges are subject to the category of Membership of the sponsoring Member, any applicable fees, charges, and Club Rules and Regulations.
- Primary Members Only before 9:00 a.m. on weekends and holidays.
- No guest play before 9:00 a.m. on weekends and holidays during the golf season.
- No sponsored guests before 12:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
- Non-Resident members may not sponsor guests.
- Any guest may have access to the golf facilities; either accompanied or sponsored a limit of 8 days. Guests may have additional access during the off-season. Tournament rounds are not counted as an official visit.
- The golf season is defined as April 1st through September 30th .
- Weekends are defined as Saturday and Sunday.
- Holidays are defined as Memorial Day, July 4th , and Labor Day.
- Practice Facilities – all guest policies will apply to use of the practice facilities.
Family Guests – any spouse, parent, son, daughter, grandchild, grandparent, brother or sister. Family guests play at a reduced rate.
Accompanied Guests – a member can have up to 3 accompanied guests in one day.
Sponsored Guests – a member can sponsor up to 4 unaccompanied guests in one day.
Corporate Guests – may play as the guest of a corporate member a limit of 8 days per season.
Member Sponsored Groups – for members wishing to sponsor groups of 5 or more unaccompanied players. MSG's are booked through the Golf Shop and are priced as a package of services.
Although it is the intention of the Club to accommodate guests without inconvenience to the Members, the Club reserves the right to limit the number of guests on any given day and on certain occasions reserve the facilities for Members-only use. Guest privileges may be denied, withdrawn or revoked at any time for reasons considered sufficient by the Club management.
The host Member shall be responsible for all charges incurred by their guests and family members. Guest's may charge Golf Shop purchases and food & beverage charges to a personal credit card.
The sponsoring Member is responsible for the conduct of their guests and family while at the Club.
Sand Creek management reserves the right to sponsor guests at any time.
Sand Creek Country Club is not responsible for any personal property that is either lost or stolen.
BEFORE PLAY, ALL GUESTS MUST REGISTER IN THE GOLF SHOP, EITHER IN PERSON OR BY THE SPONSORING MEMBER.
GOLF OUTINGS
To ensure that the golf course is open to golf members as often as possible, outings will be held on Mondays only. Member-sponsored events may be accommodated for groups of 5 or more unaccompanied players during the week and after 1:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays during the official golf season.
GOLF SEASON
Weather and course conditions permitting, play will be allowed year round. The Superintendent will be the sole judge of whether to permit play. The official golf season will be from April 1 through September 30. Practice areas will be open during the official golf season and typically extended until the middle of October.
SAND CREEK OWNED GOLF CARTS
1. Carts must remain on the cart paths around all tees and greens. Signs will be displayed at the first hole of each nine indicating the daily cart rules.
2. No more than two (2) bags and two (2) players per cart. (Exception, infants may be permitted to ride at the discretion of the Director of Golf.)
3. Individuals without a valid driver's license are not permitted to operate motorized golf carts.
4. All occupants must be seated inside the golf cart when the cart is moving.
5. Any violation of the cart rules may result in a fine, suspension, or revocation of cart privileges.
6. A maximum of two (2) carts will be allowed per group. If three (3) private cart owners play together using their carts, one cart must remain on the cart paths at all times.
7. All carts operated on the golf course must be driven in a safe and controlled manner that does not endanger other persons or cause damage to the golf course.
8. Cart and/or course damage is the responsibility of the golf cart operator.
SAND CREEK HOMEOWNER'S CART RULES
Only Sand Creek homeowners may own and drive private carts on the golf course property.
Any Sand Creek homeowner considering the purchase or lease of a private golf cart must notify management prior to purchase to determine if the cart meets required standards. Notice of delivery date of cart must be given so that the new cart can be inspected and a permit issued.
No private cart will be allowed on the course unless:
- The cart is electric.
- The cart is similar in design and color to the club fleet.
- Inspections will be made each year and management reserves the right to reject the use of any private cart which does not meet required standards. Carts reaching the ages of eight (8) to ten (10) years old will be allowed, dependent on the condition of the cart and that all standard requirements are met. Carts reaching ten (10) years of age will need to be replaced with a newer model. The intent of this is to ensure that all carts operated on Sand Creek property are current.
- The annual trail fee has been paid, the annual inspection has been performed and the cart has an identification sticker for the current golf season.
- The cart has a tire size of at least 8 1/2" x 8" and approved tread pattern.
- The cart has a roof matching the body color.
Any rider of a private cart other than the immediate family of the owner or other cart owners will be charged the normal cart rental fee.
All drivers must use caution and abide by the rules of the road on Sand Creek property.
The yearly fee will be payable and inspections made within thirty (30) days of the opening day of the golf season. The fee is non-refundable and is not pro-rated.
The club may revoke all privileges at any time or may revoke an individual's privileges for cause.
Cart maintenance service is contracted through your cart manufacturer. The Golf Shop can provide you phone numbers and contact names.
An annual trail fee will be charged to your member account on your April statement. Please consult the Dues and Fees Schedule for the current golf cart trail fee.
Any golf cart, whether privately owned or a Sand Creek Country Club golf cart, may only be driven on Sand Creek Country Club property by a person 16 year of age or older, who is in possession of a valid Drivers License.
CART PATHS
Golfers have the right-of-way to all cart paths. If you are not playing golf, we ask that you refrain from using the cart paths. Use the 90 degree rule as much as possible.
VEHICLES ON PROPERTY
ATV's, Go-Carts, Scooters, Seg-Ways, Off-Road Motorbikes and all other motorized recreational vehicles are strictly prohibited on Sand Creek Country Club property.
GOLF COURSE DRESS CODE
Sand Creek's dress code is strictly enforced and appropriate attire is expected at all times from members and their guests. Soft spikes are required.
For Men: A golf shirt with a collar (or turtleneck/mock neck) and slacks, Bermuda shorts, or walking shorts. Denim is not permitted.
For Women: A suitable blouse or shirt and skirt, slacks, Bermuda shorts, or walking shorts. Denim is not permitted.
• Golf hats must be worn with the bill forward.
• Men's shirts must be tucked in.
• Golf shoes must be worn on the course.
• Halters, tee shirts, jeans, short-shorts, tennis, gym, running or jogging shorts, cutoffs, tank tops, and bathing suits are not permitted.
• Appropriate clothing is available in the Golf Shop.
GOLF COURSE ETIQUETTE
1. Please replace divots or when the divot cannot be replaced, use the sand and seed mix provided on your golf cart for fairways.
2. Always enter and leave a bunker on the low side. Never walk up the steep slope of a bunker.
3. Please repair all ball marks on the greens.
4. Chipping is not allowed on the putting green.
5. On course practice is NOT permitted. Practice is permitted only on designated practice areas.
SPEED OF PLAY
Sand Creek enforces the speed of play and expects all players to play at a pace that is enjoyable for others. Please make every effort to play in four hours and 15 minutes or less per 18 holes of golf. If the group behind you consistently has to wait for your group, you are required to invite them to play through.
JUNIOR GOLF POLICY
Age 16 and older - May use the practice facility and the golf course during appropriate membership times. Children may be eligible for unaccompanied play through participation in Sand Creek Junior Golf Programs or by becoming certified by the golf professionals.
*Primary members and their guests will take precedence during certain times of the day.
PRACTICE AREAS
Sand Creek provides three, well-designed practice areas to accommodate each phase of your game. The facilities cover putting, chipping, sand, short game, and the full swing. Practice balls, bag stands, towels, and water coolers are provided. Recreational members may use the areas for a daily fee by registering in the Golf Shop or at the Starter Gazebo.
PRACTICE TEE
The Practice Tee will close 30 minutes before dusk. On Wednesday and Sunday evenings, the tee will close one hour before dusk.
COURSE CLOSED TO PLAY
At times it will be necessary to close the course entirely as a result of inclement weather. Course condition (open-closed) signs are posted at the first tee of each nine. We ask your cooperation in observing these conditions.
LOCKER ROOMS
Sand Creek provides individual lockers in a first-class atmosphere with attendants available during most hours of the day. Shoe service and towels are provided. Lockers may be reserved on an annual basis. Must be 13 years or older to enter, 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Camera phones, cameras and other image producing devices are strictly prohibited in the Locker Rooms.
LOUNGES
Both the men's and the women's lounges provide a sitting area with tables and chairs, bar, television, and food and beverage service. Access to the men's and women's lounge is restricted to persons aged 21 years or older, in compliance with Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission legislation.
For Special Events the Club reserves the right to afford women access to the Men's Lounge. When the Club exercises this right notices will be posted on the back door under the terrace. These notices will supersede any other advertisements or notices the club has in effect at that time.
When women are permitted in the Men's Lounge, they may only access the Men's Lounge via the back door under the terrace. Women are not permitted to enter the Men's Locker Room Area at any time.
BAG STORAGE AND CLUB MAINTENANCE
Golf bag storage is available along with golf club cleaning service. Only one bag may be stored per storage space.
MERCHANDISE VALUE PROGRAM
All merchandise in the Golf Shop is priced at substantially reduced prices for all Sand Creek members and their guests in our Merchandise Value Program (MVP). Special merchandise orders are also included in this program.
SPEED CARTS
Sand Creek maintains a fleet of speed carts available to golfers for rent on a first come first served basis. Members may purchase and use their own speed carts on the golf course, however, Sand Creek does not provide storage services.
SAND CREEK PARK
The park facilities include a large play field, playground, ice skating area, and restroom facilities.
The playground and park area opposite the club are available to all club members and all residents of Sand Creek.
The park is available for Private Events but the club reserves the exclusive right to provide catering services to such events. Events must be booked through the club.

The Park is an unsupervised area of play. Children left unattended are responsible for their own actions.
Vandalism will be prosecuted.
PARK NINE GOLF COURSE
The Park Nine was designed to give junior golfers an opportunity to play a golf course, which will help develop their skills and prepare them for the championship courses at Sand Creek. During the golf season, the Park 9 is available to members and residents alike.
The greens are Pencross bent grass and the entire surrounding areas, including the tees, are Kentucky blue grass. The greens will be mowed at ¼", and the blue grass at 1".
HOURS/SEASON
The Park Nine season will coincide with the championship courses including days and hours of operation. There will be times when it will be closed for general maintenance or special events. Please contact the Golf Shop for availability at 395-5210.
ELIGIBILITY TO PLAY THE PARK NINE
All members and their family and homeowners are eligible to play the Park Nine. Check with the Golf Shop for availability.
PLAYING PROCEDURES OF THE PARK NINE
1. All players shall start on hole number one.
2. USGA rules govern all play.
3. Shirts and shoes are required.
4. Proper conduct is expected at all times.
